Heart Opening Sound Bath

Friday, December 1st, 6:30-7:30p

w/ Erica Nguyen

Sound Meditation (often known as sound bath or healing) is the practice of listening to soothing sounds to reach profound states of clarity and relaxation. It opens up deep meditative states that are usually unreachable without considerable effort. To breathe in sound within the sanctuary of a beautifully composed sound journey can shift your frequency to one of deep healing and relaxation.

The goal of the sound journey is to bring you into your deepest state of meditation by clearing the mind and releasing tensions. You will be immersed in a sound journey of different instruments, eloquently composed rhythms, and vibrations from around the world. You will bathe in Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, harps, a Native Indonesian flute, a 32” symphonic gong, and binaural beats.

To begin, you will be guided through an active meditation, where we will use movements to ground into our bodies at the beginning. Then, we will transition into a still meditation, where participants lie down and are bathed head to toe in sound— it's a very ethereal experience. This event is an opportunity for us to dive inward and calm our nervous systems as a collective.
